The following schools will distribute diplomas to graduates via school-specific dates and procedures:
School of Dental Medicine: All
Perelman School of Medicine: M.D.'s only
School of Veterinary Medicine: All
All other diplomas will be mailed in July via First-Class U.S. mail (not trackable). In order for the University to release a diploma, the student's degree must be granted and they must be in good financial standing. Students can confirm that a degree has been granted by logging in to Penn InTouch. If a degree has not been granted, the student should contact their school.
Diplomas are mailed to the permanent address listed in PennInTouch, and graduating students are strongly encouraged to review their address information for accuracy. Students who do not wish to use their permanent address should set a diploma address in Penn InTouch. Addresses must be updated no later than June 7. Failure to set a diploma address by June 7 will result in the diploma being mailed to the permanent address.
Students can also request to have their diplomas held on campus until COVID-19 restrictions are fully lifted for the University (date unknown). Those wishing to pick up their diplomas on campus once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted (date unknown) can submit a Diploma Hold Request. The deadline for requesting this alternate delivery option is June 7.
